Fresh New House Plans
Fresh New House Plans
Published at February 05 2024 by JFord
This past Sunday was a very important day in weather forecasting, but I think that it got overshadowed a bit by the Super Bowl. It was Groundhog’s Day and whether or not you believe that a rodent can predict the weather, I choose to believe that this year he may have been on the right track. This winter has been cold, wet and horrible. We didn’t get any snow and, thankfully, we didn’t get any ice, but it rained. And it rained. And it rained some more. And I think its going to rain most of today. And the temperatures have been on that hairs edge away from frigid. So, I’m looking forward to that Groundhog being right and spring just being a few short weeks away.
Spring is the time when most builders want to get started on their builds. They want to be able to hit the ground running as soon as it starts to dry out some and that is usually late spring. So, if you are looking to build during this build season, now is the time to get those plans. If you are looking for a custom plan, you definitely need to get those plans going now rather than later.
Fresh New Plans
Here are some brand-new plans that have just been hatched for you to look at for your next build. Check them out!
Hansen Place (MEN 5233)
This traditional House Plan gives you just over 1,700 square feet of living space with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. This floor plan also features an attached 2-car garage. This home gives you some amazing curb appeal with a unique roofline and lovely contrasting exterior materials. On the inside of the home, you will find an open floor plan that includes the dining room, kitchen and great room. The master suite gives you plenty of space to relax while the other bedrooms give the kiddos plenty of space to grow.
As you approach the home, the first thing that you notice about this plan is the stunning contrasting colors on the exterior of the home. The white stone just pops against the black painted wood accents.
As you enter the home, you find yourself on a covered porch that features brickwork steps and columns and a beaded ceiling. This space also gives you a sense of refinement due to the closed in space and the dark wood of the door. Moving into the home, you are in the foyer. The foyer features a tall ceiling and a closet that is perfect for storing outerwear.
Stepping from the foyer, you make your way immediately into the open floor plan the includes the great room, kitchen and dining area. The great room features a vaulted ceiling with rustic exposed beams as well as space for an optional fireplace along the left wall of the space.
Along the rear wall of the space you will find large windows that face the rear of the home and the covered grilling porch and a large brickwork fireplace that dominates the space in this room. The covered grilling porch continues the traditional look from the rest of the house with brick columns.
This kitchen island gives you bar seating for 4 as well as the perfect place to wash up from mealtimes. The sink and dishwasher both face the great room and informal dining area, this gives you the ability to keep an eye on the comings and goings as you wash up from the meal.
The rest of the kitchen gives you plenty of countertops for prepping meals and room for both a large range and a pantry. Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining room. This space features high ceilings and is wide enough to accommodate even the largest of family gatherings.
The dining room also features a wall of windows that look out onto the rear of the property. This space also boasts the entrance to the back-grilling porch.
At the front of this plan you will find Bedrooms 2 and 3. Both of these bedrooms have identical closet space and access to the hall bathroom on this floor. Bedroom 3 has a vaulted ceiling and a bit of a larger space for a mirror. Directly off the garage is the laundry room This gives you the perfect place to get rid of some mess before you step any further onto those clean floors.
The rest of the first floor is the master suite. The master bedroom has a tall optional 10-foot ceiling. The master bath gives you a double vanity, a freestanding tub and a corner shower. This master bath also gives you a large walk in closet that has plenty of space for even the biggest shopping trip.
Loftin Place (MEN 5221)
This lovely one-story farmhouse style house plan by award winning designer Michael E. Nelson has everything that you would ever want in your dream home. With just under 2,000 square feet of living space featuring 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 1 half bath this house plan gives you all the room you and your family would ever need in a home. This home has a lovely open floor plan that includes the great room and the kitchen with a gorgeous vaulted ceiling and exposed timber beams. This modern farmhouse house plan combines the traditional elements of the farmhouse style with some distinct modern touches. Check it out!
Stepping into the home, you find yourself in the foyer. This one is actually a very traditional foyer in that it is a very small room that is not part of a larger room or an open floor plan. This foyer is perfect for greeting guests or just coming in out of the cold and gives you a perfect place to get out of your cold weather gear before moving into the rest of the house.
To the left of the foyer is the first of the 4 bedrooms offered in this home design. This one could also be used as an office. This bedroom gives you a large double window that faces the covered porch on the front of the house and a small closet.
Moving around the home in a clockwise motion, we find ourselves in a short hallway that gives you the other two smaller bedrooms and their shared bathroom. Bedroom 3 and 4 each have a double casement window that faces the front and rear of the home, respectively and share a hall bathroom with two vanities.
From this area of the home, if you continue in that clockwise motion, you will find yourself in the great room. This great room is part of the open floor plan that includes the great room, kitchen and dining area. The great room is very large and takes up the majority of that space.
The great room features a large stonework fireplace. You will be awed by the vaulted ceiling and exposed beams running throughout the great room and the kitchen. The great room also features a large sliding glass door that opens up onto the grilling porch on the rear of the home.
The kitchen is separated by a large island that runs in between the great room and the kitchen. This large island not only gives you seating for 5 on the bar side but makes a perfect place to have informal meals or to snack while you are keeping an eye on the children while you clean up from a meal.
The rest of the kitchen gives you lots of counter space and room for a large range. The kitchen also has a very large pantry that is perfect for the cook in your life. The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and gives you windows on two sides of the space. This dining room is perfect for the family that loves to entertain.
Coming in from the garage, you find yourself in the kid’s nook. This small hallway is perfect for a mudroom. This space gives you a bench with hanging storage and easy access to both the kitchen and the laundry room.
The laundry room gives you access to the master suite’s walk-in closet. The laundry room gives you plenty of room for storage over the outlets. The laundry room also has a soaking sink that is perfect for dye projects or for really bad stains.
The master suite finishes up this floor of the house plan. The master bedroom features a large bank of windows the look out over the rear of the home and a high vaulted ceiling that gives the room a bright, airy feeling. The master bath features a double vanity, a free-standing tub and a very large glass shower.
