With world advancements in technology and education, today’s youth no longer look to continuing the family business and instead look to outside influences when selecting a career path. This is not the case with French Construction a firm based in Oklahoma. Andrew French decided to extend his family’s legacy by joining up with his father, Tom French.

“My dad has 28 years experience, and with that and him being my role model, it seemed like an opportunity that couldn’t be passed up," Andrew explains. “I thought deep down that I always wanted to be in the building business and do what dad did."

French Construction, founded in 1988 under Tom French has won many awards since and is emerging as a leader in the custom home building industry. Hundreds of successful projects line the streets of Edmond and Oklahoma City.

Other members involved in the French Construction family is matriarch Julie French. Julie has shown her designer finesse as the go to interior designer for the company. As the collaborator for many projects with her husband, Julie is pushing for a new area of the company all her own.

Whether you choose French as your builder or another custom home builder, The Nelson Design Group refers only the best builders for our custom home plans. Custom home building is a wonderful and creative business to be in and we love what we do!
