Dogs are often part of the family and having a place for them in your new home is important! There are several convenient features that you can add to your home to make it dog friendly and to make sure the furry members of the family have their own special place in the house. One great way to include your dogs in the design of your new house is with a dog room or built in kennel space. These will blend into the flow of your home and won't stick out as an eye sore in your beautiful living area. Kennels can be built under counters or under the stairway. This keeps them in the design of the home and ensures they don't stick out or look out of place in the home. A separate room can built into the design just for the dogs as well! A great way to do this is to have it accessible from the outside so that muddy paw prints don't get tracked all over your home!  MEN 5028 - Cumberland Ridge has one of these rooms already in the floor plan but you can always have it added to which ever Nelson Design Group house plan has caught your eye. Another amazing feature to add to your home for your furry friends is a pet shower! This is a super convenient feature because lets face it, at some point Max is going to decide a mud bath sounds like a great way to cool off and have some fun. A pet shower allows you to clean him up without trying to get him to the bathtub without getting mud all over your floors and yourself! MEN 5001 - The Croft has one of these pet showers but, like I said before, this feature can be added to any of our other house plans.
