Stone Gables is an exciting look at a Craftsman-inspired rustic home plan. With a strong focus on natural materials, this 3,054 sq.ft. floor plan offers 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, and 1 half bath for spacious living comfort. A beautiful mix of stone, brick, and wood timbers creates a house plan as comfortable in the suburbs as it would be on a lakeside shore!

Natural Exteriors

A first look at the Stone Gables exterior design details the emphasis on a mix of natural materials for a refreshing take on the rustic Craftsman style. Inviting brown-gray stone is the focus of this design complemented with soft white brick around the entrance and dormers. This combination is accented with deep mahogany timbers highlighting the Craftsman inspiration. Traditionally strict angles are softened with arch-top windows framed by large panel shutters in the same mahogany shade. These gently sloped designs follow to the front entrance. Wood columns encircle the double-paned arch-top French doors for a covered private entry.

Open Entry, Open Plan

After soaking in the stone- and brickwork from the covered entry, you will step into the Stone Gables foyer. Great 11’ ceilings welcome you with a look into the Great Room towards the rear of the home and the dining room to the immediate left. The dining room creates privacy lines with broad doorways without sacrificing the joy of an open floor plan. Corner columns help create space for intimate family dinners and the open design allows for mingling during casual parties! The foyer (and dining room) lead into the Great Room. This space is the central heart of the Stone Gables home plan. Large 8x8 timber beams line the 12’ ceilings to draw in the exterior design focus on natural elements. This spacious gathering area showcases a cozy fireplace for firelight evenings on cool nights. Two sets of double doors lead onto the grilling porch. Choosing great windowed doors would allow extra natural lighting to the Great Room. The open floor plan flows into the Kitchen to the left end of the Great Room. A raised island bar offers seating for up to four while providing additional counter space for meal prep! The Stone Gables Kitchen design provides a separate placement for your refrigerator and freezer without sacrificing precious cabinet space. An extended pantry at the far end of the Kitchen keeps your dry and canned goods close at hand. The rear of the Kitchen leads to the Breakfast Nook. Grand windows overlook the backyard while the family enjoys breakfast. The great view allows you to monitor the weather while the kids and pups play outdoors as you whip up the next meal!

A Master Suite Study

This Craftsman-inspired rustic house plan pulls favorite design details directly into the architectural build. From the front door foyer, a study is entered to the right. Barn doors lead into this expansive space great for a computer work room or passion-project space. Fill the walls with books for an in-home library or include a work desk and seating space for in-home consultations. The Study features a second fireplace for quiet contemplation or to inspire your next masterpiece! Before entering the Great Room proper, you will find the entrance to the Master Suite wing. A quaint coat closet is ideal for frequently used work coats and suit jackets. This Master Suite foyer-style space has room for a drop-off table for briefcases and electronics. Continuing through the entry, the Master Suite bedroom is set at the rear of this floor plan. Two walk-in closets offer generous wardrobe and personal storage space for every day and seasonal wear. Commonly dubbed “His and Her closets,” the dual spaces are great for partners, spouses, or individuals needing an easy way to designate organization space! The Master Suite bedroom features a 10’ box ceiling. This added touch of elegance creates a beautiful appearance of grand ceilings for those uninterested in elaborate displays. A box ceiling is a grand alternative to extravagant ceiling designs or the plainer flat ceiling.

Looking to the front of the home from the Master Suite bedroom, you will come to the Master Bath. This decadent bathroom showcases dual sinks in an L-shaped vanity. The roomy counterspace offers a little extra elbow room when performing the nightly bedtime hygiene rituals. A sizable shower is nestled next to the space for a freestanding bathtub. The toilet is enclosed for additional privacy.

Split Bedroom Design

The split bedroom design provides space and privacy for all household members. Bedroom 2 and Bedroom 3 are located on the left side of the Stone Gables home plan. After passing through the foyer, a wide hallway on the left leads past the Great Room and Kitchen before turning right towards the rear of the home. A the end of the first brief leg of this hall is the half bath and a linen closet. Barn doors open into this broad linen closet for expansive storage room! The half bath provides a simple toilet and single sink vanity for guests. Continuing down the hall will take you to Bedroom 2 on the left. This spacious bedroom boasts side-facing windows for light and fresh air. An en suite full bath features a single sink vanity, toilet, and shower tub. A private bathroom for Bedroom 2 makes it ideal for older children or young adult housemates. The private bathroom opens into the moderate walk-in closet.

Across from Bedroom 2 is the entry to the Laundry Room. Expansive counter space allows for quick sorting and folding of fresh linens and clothes before finishing the weekly chores! The Laundry Room includes a large utility sink for delicate hand-washed items or for more messy clean-up. This spacious area is roomy enough for side-by-side washer and dryer sets.

Past the Laundry Room is the walk-in closet for Bedroom 3. This closet is slightly larger than the space for Bedroom 2. Bedroom 3 offers rear-facing windows alongside the private bathroom. A doorway leads to the single sink vanity with the toilet and shower tub behind an enclosed door.

Garage Entry

A 3-car garage ensures room for most family vehicles or boats. The Stone Gables garage is roomy enough for all your daily rides or project cars with space still yet for lawn mowers and yard equipment! Under stair storage provides additional space for holiday décor or more sensitive equipment. The garage includes access to the main level. A bench with hanging space once inside the home proper offers a quiet place to remove dirty shoes and clothes to avoid traipsing throughout the house.

Upstairs Bonus Room

Stairs to the Bonus Room are around the corner from the Dining area next to the garage entrance. The Bonus Room upstairs is a grand and spacious area waiting to fill your home needs. Designated space is reserved for an optional full bath. The Bonus Room gathers ample amounts of natural lighting from the side-facing windows. This room includes a modest closet space for storage.
